No Titles. No Hierarchies. Just Whānau.

At TŪ PAKARI, we don’t believe in labels like CEO, COO, Vice President, or General Manager. Those titles create distance — and distance is the opposite of what we stand for. Here, everyone is equal. Every voice carries mana. Every role matters. Every contribution is valued.

Whether you’re making big decisions, packing an order, or sharing ideas over a cuppa, you’re part of the same whānau. For us, leadership is about service, not status. That’s why we walk side-by-side — never in front, never behind.

TŪ PAKARI is built on trust, respect, and shared purpose, not a chain of command. Because when we stand together, without ego or rank, we stand strong.

Manaaki – To care for, protect, support

TŪ PAKARI’s Stand
We believe every person has the right to feel safe, respected, and valued — online and offline. Intimidation in a team chat is not “just banter.” It’s a form of workplace bullying, and it’s unacceptable.

If this happens to you:

  • Document the conversation (screenshots, dates, times).
  • Report the behaviour to your manager or HR.
  • Seek support from a trusted colleague or workplace advocate.
  • Know your rights — in Aotearoa, workplace bullying is recognised and can be addressed under employment law.

TŪ PAKARI — Standing strong against all forms of bullying. Your voice matters. Your mana matters.

  • Intimidation in a Team Group Chat – It’s Still Bullying
  • Bullying doesn’t only happen face-to-face. In today’s workplaces, team communication often happens in group chats, and intimidation there is just as harmful as in-person abuse. If you are being intimidated in a team group chat  especially when multiple colleagues are present ,it can feel like you’re being backed into a corner with an audience watching. This type of bullying can include:
  • Aggressive or mocking comments.
  • Publicly belittling your work or character.
  • Using sarcasm or “jokes” to embarrass you.
  • Excluding you from important discussions or decisions in the chat. When at least five other colleagues are present, the impact is magnified. It’s no longer just a private dispute — it becomes a public display meant to undermine your mana (dignity) and confidence.
  • Why It Matters
  • It’s Public Shaming: The group chat becomes a stage where your professional credibility is attacked.
  • It Creates Fear: You may hesitate to participate in discussions, share ideas, or challenge unfair behaviour.
  • It Damages Trust: Healthy workplace communication relies on respect. Group chat intimidation destroys that.
